I was at a loss as to what I wanted to do with my life after I was laid off from my factory job. I was not worried about money because I had a nice inheritance that had been collecting interest for years in the bank, so I was fortunate that I was able to consider my options for without rushing into something. It was one of my good friends who asked me if I had ever considered starting a property management business. I had dabbled in real estate when I was in my 20s and enjoyed it, so I decided to look further into this.
I went online since I knew I would be able to have all of my questions answered there. I was really happy to find a site that was interesting to me because it covered all aspects of property management. One of the reasons I liked this site better than similar ones is because it focuses on not only great management techniques but also on the tenants themselves. That is of extreme importance to me, and the more I read, the more I realized that I did want to get back into this.
My friend had asked me because he has an apartment complex in town that has around 400 units in it. He had been handling the day to day operations and management duties, but he wanted to find someone else to take over. That was the perfect opening for me. I discovered that I love managing such large complexes, and I have taken on a few others too. I have formed my own company, and I am even thinking about investing in a smaller complex myself. I had no idea I would end up doing this, but it is what truly makes me happy in life!
